Direct Connect Implementation Steps
During the Server QA phase of the project your OFX Server and backend host system(s) will be validated for OFX Compliance. This testing is performed in a QA or pre-production region. SSL is not an Intuit requirement for this testing phase, but this will be required for client testing.
Intuit OFX Server Questionnaire
Review, complete, and return the Intuit OFX Server Questionnaire.
The questionnaire helps identify problem areas and issues prior to the beginning of testing and, hopefully, prior to significant development efforts on the part of the Financial Institution and/or Server Provider.
Additionally it provides an overview of your planned functionality to Intuit test teams.
Once this document is received and reviewed your Implementation Manager will schedule a technical call with you and your Server Provider to review.
OFX Test Tool
Direct Internet connectivity to the system is not required as you (or your service provider) execute the OFX Test Tool.
This tool contains numerous test scripts designed to verify the OFX functionality of your server.
Begin running the OFX Test Tool at Level 1 and then forward the resulting test logs to Intuit when the server is achieving a 70-80% pass rate. Make sure to include all required files listed in the users guide.
Your Implementation Manager will notify you when it is appropriate to move to "Levels 2 & 3 (complete SQA)" testing, which is the final phase of SQA testing.
Note
Working with a well-established OFX solutions provider can significantly reduce implementation times.
